Privacy Policy
Your data belongs to you. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it - written plainly, not in legalese.

Our honest commitment
We will never sell your data. We will never use it to target you with ads. The only reason we hold any information about you is to help you find your people - and to keep this community safe.
Your journey, remembered across every device
U Find We asks for your email for one reason only - so your soul profile, connections, and conversations travel with you. Type in your email, receive a one-time code, and you're in. No password. No form. No fuss.
We will never sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond keeping your journey intact. We're a free spiritual community, not a product built on your personal information. Your email is a key - nothing more.
1. Overview
U Find We ('we', 'us', 'our') is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data with honesty, care, and respect. By using the U Find We platform ('the Platform'), you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with how we handle your data, please do not use the Platform.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising. We use it only to operate and improve this community - and to keep you safe.
2. Who We Are (Data Controller)
U Find We is the data controller for personal data collected through this Platform. As data controller, we are responsible for deciding how and why your data is processed.

4. How We Use Your Data
To provide the Platform
We use your profile information, questionnaire answers, and location to match you with other souls, display your profile to potential connections, and power the community features you use.
To keep the community safe
Reports, block records, and certain usage data are used to review safety concerns, enforce our Community Standards, and protect all members from harm.
To communicate with you
If you contact us via a form or report, we'll use your email address to respond. We do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in.
To improve the Platform
Anonymised usage data helps us understand how the Platform is being used so we can improve features and fix issues. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.
To process donations
If you make a donation, your payment is processed by a third-party provider. We receive confirmation of the donation but not your full card details.
To maintain video call safety records
We store metadata about video calls (such as timestamps, participant IDs, and call duration) for safety purposes and to investigate reports. No audio or video content of calls is recorded, stored, or accessible to U Find We at any time. Calls operate as peer-to-peer real-time connections only.
Paid Event transactions
U Find We does not process, store, or have access to payments for events listed on the Platform. All event payments are handled directly between attendees and Hosts via their chosen third-party payment processors (such as Stripe). U Find We is not a party to these transactions and does not receive or store any payment card details related to events.
5. Our Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
Contract
Processing your profile, matches, and messages is necessary to fulfil the service you have signed up for - i.e., finding and connecting with other souls on the Platform.
Legitimate interests
We process certain data (such as usage patterns and safety reports) based on our legitimate interest in operating a safe and functional community platform, provided that interest does not override your rights.
Consent
Where we collect optional profile data (such as spiritual path, crystal allies, or intentions) or place non-essential cookies, we rely on your informed consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legal obligation
In some cases we may be required to process or retain data to comply with applicable law - for example, retaining records of safety incidents.
8. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law.
Active accounts
Your profile data, messages, and activity are retained for as long as your account is active.
Deleted accounts
When you delete your account, your profile, photos, and personal information are removed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate data (such as general usage statistics) may be retained indefinitely.
Safety and legal records
Reports and related safety records may be retained for up to 3 years after the incident for legal and safety purposes, even if an account is deleted.
9. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Right of access
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification
Ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure
Request deletion of your data ('right to be forgotten'), subject to legal retention requirements.
Right to restriction
Ask us to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
Right to portability
Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format so you can transfer it elsewhere.
Right to object
Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including any profiling.
Right to withdraw consent
Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through the Community Safety page. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
10. Data Security
We take the security of your personal data seriously. We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls limiting who within our team can access personal data, and regular security reviews.
However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
11. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers (including our hosting infrastructure) may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place - such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions - to protect your data to the same standard as required under UK GDPR.
12. Children's Privacy
U Find We is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.
We do not require invasive age verification mechanisms or government-issued identification. We rely on honest self-declaration from our Members, in keeping with our commitment to privacy and minimal data collection.
If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take immediate steps to delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
For significant changes that affect how we use your data in a material way, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you directly - for example, via a notice on the Platform.
14. Contact & Complaints
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests relating to this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please reach out to us through the Community Safety page or our contact form.

Your Data, Your Rights
You are always in control. If you have any questions about your data or want to exercise your rights, we're here and we'll respond promptly.
